Bustling with customers and filled with rich aromas, the Al Ameed Coffee stores emit quality at every corner, just as founder Adel Daher envisioned. His story of determination and drive began in a small village in Tulkarem, Palestine where he was born in 1912. Daher was orphaned at a young age and worked to support his mother and siblings, undertaking any job he could find. Starting out as an assistant at a car repair store, he was recognized for his strong work ethic and progressed to managerial roles. Unrest in the region pushed Daher to move around in the late 1950s; passing through Syria and Lebanon, he eventually landed in Kuwait. This is where he began to build his entrepreneurial reputation. 

Finding himself penniless, once again, Daher set out to restart the job hunt, armed only by his infectious charisma and sense of purpose. Following years of hard work, he opened a shop to sell electrical appliances that eventually gave him enough stability to get creative. During the early 1970s, Adel Daher found a nearby vacant space and decided to fill it with his visions. At that time, specializing in coffee was not the norm, yet, the idea that coffee deserves a space of its own compelled him to dedicate the store to do just that. This is when Al Ameed Coffee was born.

Adel Daher entered the world of coffee with no experience but with a deep desire to learn. Step by step he hired employees, installed roasters, imported coffee and opened the doors in 1973. Daher knew that taste is what set his business apart, and allowed the coffee to speak for itself by distributing free samples to draw people in. Customers tasted the passion he invested into each cup and kept coming back for more. Today, many years later, Al Ameed Coffee honors this history, making sure the passion Adel Daher carried is poured into every element of the brand.
